Next month 30th, former KOREA Airlines and former national team coach Hong Myeong-bo will once again attend a parliamentary inquiry as they did two years ago following the World Cup group stage disappointment. This hearing aims to examine Korea's football governance in light of underwhelming performance.

Jeong Mong-kyu, who stepped down from his position as the Korean Football Association president after the 2018 World Cup, and former coach Hong Myeong-bo are set to answer questions relating to their time in office.
Issues such as team performance, alleged intervention by Lim Seung-yeol during Hong's selection process, conflicts within the national team, will be hot topics under scrutiny. For instance, despite not attending officially, Hong claimed that the 140 million won used improperly was spent according to regulations and due to work requirements, which could lead to pointed questioning from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Schedule and Concerns
The alleged intervention by Lim Seung-yeol during Hong's selection process is likely to be at the forefront. However, with other witnesses not coming forward, there are concerns that this may turn out to only be a half-hearing. As things stand, the only witness who has confirmed attendance so far is Yoo Sung-min from the Korea Sports Council.
