A special event to cheer for the South Korea national football team during the 2026 North and Central America World Cup will take place in Incheon. The Incheon Metropolitan Government and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they will operate the 'Sangsang Cheering Squad' on the 19th and 25th, coinciding with the matches of the Korean national team. The matches are scheduled for 10 a.m. on the 19th against Mexico and 10 a.m. on the 25th against South Africa. At the Sangsang Platform, a large screen and sound system will be set up, and cheering items like clappers will be provided. Additionally, various prize events will take place before kickoff and at halftime, with drinks and popcorn offered to those who pre-register. The Incheon Transit Corporation will also host a World Cup cheering event at 'Art-ro Incheon', located on the first basement level of Incheon City Hall Station. The Art-ro Incheon media wall features a large screen measuring 10 m wide by 3 m high, which will live-broadcast the World Cup matches on the 19th and 25th. Anyone can freely participate, watching the games on the big screen and cheering together. Depending on the performance of the South Korea national football team, the Incheon Transit Corporation also plans to live-broadcast the knockout matches on the Art-ro Incheon media wall.
