The South Korea national football team's World Cup debut is just two days away, and the excitement is building in Southern California. The Radio Korea 2026 North and Central America World Cup cheering festival will be held on November 11th at the Buena Park Source Mall. This festival will feature not only a game viewing but also performances, experiential events, and a public broadcast. The festival will start at 3 pm, before the game begins. Through Radio Korea's popular program High Five public broadcast, DJs Jay and Hye-mi will host various games and events to boost the cheering atmosphere. At the scene, there will be various experiential programs such as making Taegeukgi and face painting, and gifts will be provided through participatory events. From 5 pm onwards, a professional MC, Teri Song, will host the festival, and Korean-American singer Shim Yo-seop will sing the national anthems of both Korea and the US. The CA Taekwondo Committee demonstration team will perform a dynamic taekwondo performance, and the KMCC Hanul Korean Music Team and the Hwarang Youth Foundation will showcase the beauty and excitement of Korean traditional culture. The official cheering squad of the South Korean team, Team One Reds, will lead the cheering atmosphere with a cheering performance and audience participation event before the game starts. Additionally, large screens will be installed throughout the event venue, and former lacrosse national team player Yoon Hyo-sang will provide Korean commentary, allowing spectators to enjoy the game more vividly. There will also be a rest and viewing area for families and a space to enjoy the cheering atmosphere with the cheering squad. In particular, an alcohol zone for adults will be operated on the third floor, allowing people of all ages to enjoy the cheering festival in their own way.
