South Korea's U23 team cruised into the Asian Games semi-finals with a commanding 4-0 quarter-final victory over Vietnam. Led by coach Lee Min-sung, the side produced a dominant display on September 25th.
Lee Young-jun opened the scoring in the 15th minute, assisted by Lee Hyun-ju. Kim Ji-soo added a second in the 77th minute before Lee Young-jun netted his second just four minutes later. Substitute M. Kim rounded off the scoring in the 88th minute to seal the comprehensive win.
Coach Lee Min-sung said the team "produced a good result with a united performance." The victory means South Korea has taken 6 points from their last five matches, with three wins and two defeats. The team now turns its attention to a home semi-final fixture against Uzbekistan on October 6th.
